The Opportunity
Techdome is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and own production systems that power healthcare and financial platforms — where security, uptime, and data integrity aren't optional. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for someone who wants to build real things, not just tickets.
You'll work across the full stack (Node.js, React, MongoDB, TypeScript), take features from design to production, and have a real say in how systems are architected.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end delivery of features and services — from design through deployment and production support
- Secure, high-performance, well-tested APIs and applications
- Code quality and engineering standards through active code review
- Production issues — you'll be the one troubleshooting and fixing them, not just filing bugs
- Architecture and technical design conversations for new and existing systems
- Mentorship of engineers through reviews and day-to-day collaboration
You'll work closely with product, design, QA, and DevOps, and with cloud infra, CI/CD, containers, and observability tooling as part of daily work.
What You Bring (Must-Haves)
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Node.js, React, MongoDB, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid grasp of REST API design, database modeling, auth (authN/authZ), testing, and application security
- Proven experience running production applications at scale
- Hands-on work with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Comfort with CI/CD, Git, Docker, logging/monitoring, and debugging production issues
- Experience in a regulated, high-stakes domain — healthcare, fintech, banking, payments, or insurance
- Strong independent problem-solving and technical ownership
Nice to Have
- System design, distributed systems, or microservices/event-driven architecture experience
- Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code exposure
- HIPAA/PHI or PCI-DSS experience, or work with payment platforms (Stripe, Braintree, Adyen, etc.)
- Background in consulting, product studios, or multi-client/multi-product environments
- Familiarity with AI-assisted dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
